Speech Therapy
Speech therapy refers to services related to speech sound disorders. This might include an articulation disorder, a phonological disorder, or childhood apraxia of speech. Your child might benefit from this service if they are difficult to understand when speaking or have difficulty with a few sounds.
Language Therapy
Language not only refers to how a child organizes and understands the words they hear, but also how a child expresses that information. Your child might need language services if they have difficulty with speaking in sentences, vocabulary, or concepts (including time, location, numbers, describing, or feelings).
Stuttering Therapy
This type of therapy focuses on learning strategies and skills to speak more fluently and successfully get a message across. We might work on breathing techniques and becoming more confident while speaking to teachers, family, or friends.
Social Skills Therapy
Some children have difficulty making friends or knowing how to respond appropriately in social situations. Social skills therapy teaches the foundational skills of problem solving, taking turns, and reasoning.
What People Say About Oceanview Therapy LLC
I cannot say enough good things about TherapyWorks. My daughter with multiple complex disabilities recently started full time school. Not only did TheapyWorks help us find therapists who would work with our daughter at our house, they found us outstanding therapists who have really advanced her skills and help her toward her goals.
Jonah Schwarz
My family has had nothing but positive experiences with TherapyWorks! My daughter’s speech therapist was always professional, punctual, reliable and effective. Her follow up and communication was also above and beyond as I was always informed about my child’s progress. The billing was extremely easy as well.
Erin Lawrence
My daughter’s speech therapist, Matthew meets my daughter where she’s at, makes every interaction fun & supportive, confers with me to make sure I know the plan, and is just a joy for my daughter to work with. I thought going virtual would impede the process, but Matthew hasn’t missed a beat with her.
