Social Skills and Pragmatic Language

Social skills and pragmatic language refer to the ability to use language appropriately in social situations. These skills include understanding turn-taking, interpreting nonverbal communication, and adapting language to fit different contexts.

Oceanview Therapy helps children develop strong social connections by practicing real-life scenarios in therapy sessions. Our play-based approach incorporates role-playing, group activities, and direct instruction to teach critical skills such as sharing, initiating conversations, and understanding social cues. We aim to make social interactions less intimidating and more enjoyable for every child.
