Meet Carmen Schneider, MS CCC-SLP
About Oceanview Therapy
Oceanview Therapy was established in 2022 by Carmen Schneider, MS CCC-SLP, national and state licensed speech-language pathologist.
Carmen received a bachelors degree with honors in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University in 2009. At Florida State, a top 15 institution in the field of communication science, she studied under autism, stuttering, and voice experts.
Carmen received her masters degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. During her training in Atlanta, Carmen was supervised and taught by nationally recognized authors and board-certified language specialists.
Carmen completed her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) in San Diego, California. Since being certified in California and Florida, Carmen has designed therapy programs for children who use AAC devices, who have autism, and who are multilingual language learners.
Carmen constantly participates in professional education to stay on-trend with the latest, evidence-based evaluation and treatment topics and procedures. In July of 2023, she was awarded ASHA’s Award for Continuing Education for completing over 70 hours of professional development.
Additionally, Carmen was certified as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and is currently seeking a Special Education Leadership certificate from the University of Cincinnati.
Oceanview Therapy is the result of Carmen’s decade of experience as a researcher and clinician. She is a dedicated service provider and researcher who puts her clients first.
Oceanview Therapy currently serves pediatric clients in-home in Jacksonville, Florida, and Palmdale, California. Oceanview also serves children via telepractice in all areas of Florida, Pennsylvania, and California.
