Receptive Language
Receptive language refers to a child’s ability to understand and process spoken or written language. It is the foundation of effective communication and includes skills such as following directions, understanding vocabulary, and interpreting nonverbal cues.
At Oceanview Therapy, we tailor our sessions to each child’s needs, using engaging, play-based activities that promote comprehension in a fun and meaningful way. Our therapists assess and address specific areas of difficulty, such as understanding questions, grasping complex sentences, or processing auditory information. By strengthening receptive language skills, we help children better connect with the world around them.
